Draft National Report for the 3rd cycle of Sri Lanka’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on Human Rights
- The Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) is in the process of preparing Sri Lanka’s National Report for the 3rd cycle of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the United Nations Human Rights Council, for submission to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) by 7 August 2017.
- The draft prepared by Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the lead government agency for this purpose, in close consultation with Government stakeholders, is available at http://www.mfa.gov.lk/index.php/en/foreign-policy/universal-periodic-review-upr-of-human-rights
- The draft Report, with its Sinhala and Tamil translations posted on the above mentioned website seeks views, comments and observations from the public and all interested entities.
- All interested individuals and Civil Society Organizations are invited to submit their views, comments and observations in either English, Sinhala, or Tamil, before 15th July 2017 by post, fax or e-mail, to:
