Hon. Vasantha Senanayake, State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, met with the Secretary General of ASEAN, H.E. Le Luong Min,  in Manila, 6 August 2017.

The State Minister conveyed Sri Lanka’s keen desire for closer engagement with ASEAN including the impending application as a Sectoral Dialogue Partner (ASEAN SDP). The meeting took place on the sidelines of the grand celebration of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) at which the State Minister is representing Sri Lanka.

Associated with State Minister Senanayake were Hon. Buddhika Pathirana MP, Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the Philippines Mrs. Aruni Ranaraja, Director General of East Asia and the Pacific Mr. O.L. Ameerajwad and Mrs. Sewwandi De Silva, Second Secretary, Embassy of Sri Lanka, Manila.
