The Story of Pluralism in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is multiracial, multicultural, and multi religious country though majority of the people is Buddhist. Through the year, all Sri Lankans are celebrating major religious events such as Vesak, Idul Fitr, Deepavali and Christmas.
This represents the diversity of Sri Lanka as all the people celebrate both our uniqueness as well as their diversity. For Sri Lankans, it is like the rainbow which has within it colours beautiful in themselves but the finest moment is when they come together as the rainbow.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka is always celebrating Sri Lanka’s diversity together with Sri Lankans community in Indonesia by hosting Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Muslim religious event.
