Sri Lanka Navy, in accordance with naval traditions, ceremonially welcomed the Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Bung Tomo arrived at the port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on Thursday (19 October 2017).

A group of officials from the Embassy of Indonesia in Colombo was also present on the occasion.

The Commanding Officer of the a Multi-Role light frigate Captain Heri Triwibowo together with a host of Indonesian representatives called on the Deputy Area Commander of Western Naval Command, Commodore Sanath Uthpala and held a cordial discussion.

The ship’s  s crew which includes 107 members is scheduled to take part in a number of friendly sporting events and other programs organized by the Sri Lanka Navy, during their 3 day official visit in Sri Lanka. The ship KRI Bung Tomo is due to set sail for its next port of call from the Colombo harbor on 21st of this month.
