The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Indonesia in collaboration with other stakeholders coordinated the repatriations of a group of 109 Sri Lankans including short term visitors, business personals who have been stranded nearly two months in various parts of Indonesia and many others on humanitarian grounds on GA 9820 which was the outward sector of charter flight being arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, departed on 21 May 2020 from Soekarno Hatta International Airport in Jakarta.
Sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Presidential Secretariat, Civil Aviation Authority in Sri Lanka, the Embassy of Indonesia in Colombo, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, Directorate General of Immigration of Indonesia, Hayleys Aviation of Sri Lanka, Garuda Indonesia Airlines, Association of Srilankans Living in Indonesia and all volunteers for supporting these Sri Lankans.
