OVERVIEW

  1. Director General of Immigration issued a Circular on new regulation of automatic emergency stay permit on Free Visa, Visa on Arrival, Social Visit Visa, Work and Stay Permit and Permanent Stay Permit.
  2. Extension of Stay Permit Visa must be done within 30 to 60 days at the immigration office, except Tourist /Free Visa holder.
  3. 30 days or 60 days counting from 13 July 2020, the effective date of issuance of the Circular.
  4. Immigration action such as deportation and detention will apply for any negligence and violation of the circular

NEW REGULATION

FREE VISA ( TOURIST VISA) HOLDER

Foreigners entering Indonesia with free visa or tourist visa must leave Indonesia within 30 days after 13 July.

VISA ON ARRIVAL HOLDER

  1. Foreigners who hold Visa on Arrival can extended their Visa to the nearest immigration office during the Covid 19 pandemic and there is no transportation available for leaving Indonesia.
  2. The Visa on Arrival have to be extended at the immigration office within 30 days after 13 July.

RENEWAL PERMANENT STAY PERMIT (KITAP) AND WORK AND STAY PERMIT (KITAS)

  1. KITAP and KITAS holder who currently not in Indonesia and already have entry permit visa that may already expired, have to go to Indonesia within 60 days after the 13 July 2020.
  2. For those who are coming to Indonesia after the above period must apply new visa when entering Indonesia.

EXTENSION OF SOCIAL VISIT VISA, PERMANENT STAY PERMIT (KITAP) AND WORK AND STAY PERMIT (KITAS)

  1. Foreigners who hold above Visa and currently stay in Indonesia can apply the extension to the nearest Immigration Office.
  2. For Social Visit Visa Holder :

a. Social Visit Visa can be extended during the Covid 19 pandemic and there is no transportation available for leaving Indonesia.

b. The Social Visit Visa have to be extended at the immigration office within 30 days after 13 July.

c. For those who already extended, may apply Stay Permit Visa ( ITAS) to the immigration office.

  1. For Work and Stay Permit (KITAS) Holder

a. Expired KITAS holders can extend their Visa to the nearest Immigration Office.

b. Those who already extend the KITAS, may apply Permanent Stay Permit ( KITAP).

c. For those who have expired KITAS and can not be extended must leave Indonesia within 30 days after 13 July.

  1. For Permanent Stay Permit ( KITAP) Holder

a. Expired KITAP holders can extend their Visa to the nearest Immigration Office.

b. For those who have expired KITAP and can not be extended must leave Indonesia within 30 days after 13 July.

WORK AND STAY PERMIT (KITAS) HOLDER WHO HAVE RECEIVED TELEX VISA AND NOTIFICATION

  1. The holders if they are in Indonesia can apply KITAS at the nearest immigration office without leaving Indonesia and apply entry visas to the Indonesian Mission abroad.
  2. Payment received for the application will treat as the valid document of “ already have an entry visa.”
