Sensetronics Ltd. yesterday opened Sri Lanka’s first accredited and fully automated masks manufacturing facility in Opatha, Kotugoda, with an investment of Rs. 150 million. 

The factory manufactures 3ply and KN95 masks. The facility will help the general public have access to affordable, quality masks, while it is also expected to bring in foreign exchange through exports.

Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceutical State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana was the Chief Guest at the factory opening. Former Director General of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA) M. Thilakasiri and State Pharmaceuticals Corporation (SPC) Chairman Prasanna Gunasena were also present.
