Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment & Tourism Vijitha Herath Participates in the Raisina Dialogue 2026

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath participated in the Raisina Dialogue 2026, one of the leading global forums on geopolitics and geoeconomics, held in New Delhi, India, from 5 to 7 March 2026.
The Raisina Dialogue was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi together with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, in the presence of India’s Minister of External Affairs, S. Jaishankar and a number of Foreign Ministers and senior representatives from across the world.
On the sidelines of the Dialogue, Minister Herath held bilateral meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Malta Ian Borg; the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya Musalia Mudavadi; the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda Olivier J. P. Nduhungirehe; and the Minister of External Affairs of India, S. Jaishankar. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation as well as exchanging views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
Minister Herath also participated in a panel discussion where he shared Sri Lanka’s perspectives on evolving geopolitical dynamics and cooperation in the Indian Ocean region. He also took part in a live video interaction session, where he shared perspectives on Sri Lanka’s transition from economic crisis toward recovery.
Minister Herath’s participation at the Raisina Dialogue provided an important platform to further strengthen Sri Lanka’s diplomatic engagement and partnerships with key regional and international stakeholders.
