Sri Lankan Embassy in Jakarta celebrated Ifthar in Indonesia on 16 March 2024 at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Jakarta. 

Large number of Sri Lankans living in Indonesia including the members of the Association of Sri Lankans Living in Indonesia (ASLI) participated in the event to break fast with evening prayers and traditional delicious Ramadhan feast.

H.E the Ambassador Admiral Prof Jayanath Colombage highlighted the significance of the Ramadhan and its relevance to the way of life and also for the world peace. The Ambassador also appreciated the presence of large number of Sri Lankans with all religious faiths for the event which showed the togetherness of Sri Lankans in Indonesia as a distinguished community and one family. Ustad Khearuddin, chief of MUI lead the religious observances including Maghrib prayers.
