Biometric Enrolments of Passports Issued by the Embassy: Passports obtained from the Sri Lanka Embassy in Jakarta must be submitted to the Head Office of the Department of Immigration and Emigration in Battaramulla or to one of the regional branches in Kandy, Matara, Vanuniya, or Kurunegala for biometric registration during your first visit to Sri Lanka with the new passport. You will not be allowed to depart from Sri Lanka if the biometrics have not been registered. This facility is not available at airports in Sri Lanka. The biometric registration process, which takes only 30-45 minutes, can be completed without prior appointments.
